In early September I came home for a visit and could not help noticing trees were dying all over the sides and tops of hills going up Chapman Highway and into Sevierville. Wow! I thought... has pollution gotten this bad here? Apparently, it is drought stress. Whew.....!!! This is a "natural" occurance.
Worries about pollution and the damage it has done to the Smoky's were on my mind and I didn't think about the drought bringing on the stress.
